• Description: Learn everything you need to start the year off right with Edge including the research base, program components, the instructional path, and the free online resources on The Teaching Edge and The Learning Edge.
• Duration: 45 minutes, with additional time to explore the online resources
• Materials: Any Edge Teacher's Edition and any Edge Student Book

Module 2: Teaching Success with Edge Fundamentals 

• Description: Build a solid understanding of the specialized instructional strategies in Edge Fundamentals designed for English language learners including the assessment tools designed to inform instruction.
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Materials: Edge Fundamentals Teacher's Edition (Vol. 1) and an Assessment Handbook

Module 3: Teaching Success with Edge Levels A, B, and C

• Description: Build a solid understanding of the specialized instructional strategies in Edge designed for striving readers and English language learners including the assessment tools designed to inform instruction.
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Materials: An Edge Teacher's Edition (Level A, B, or C) and an Assessment Handbook

Module 4: Getting Started with Edge eAssessment
      Module 4 A: Scanning with a Scantron Scanner
      Module 4 B: Scanning with a Plain Paper Scanner

• Description: Get set up for success with Edge eAssessment and learn how to use data to drive instruction. Learn about online testing, scanning and scoring, how to interpret reports, and how to access reteaching resources to improve student achievement.
• Duration: 45 minutes, with additional time to explore the Edge eAssessment website
• Materials:  Any Edge Assessment Handbook

• Description: Experience the power of The Online Coach®, interactive software designed to build adolescent students' success in vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency.Learn the instructional design, how to manage groups and student settings, and how to monitor student performance.
• Duration: 45 minutes, with additional time to try out the Online Coach® and access reports
• Materials: Any Edge Level A, B, or C Teacher's Edition

Inside Phonics:

• Description: Build a solid understanding of the Inside Phonics Kit designed to deliver systematic and explicit instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, and high frequency words, with built-in scaffolding and other support for students learning English.

Inside the U.S.A.:

• Description: Build a solid understanding of the Inside the U.S.A. Kit designed to develop language, survival vocabulary, and the basic build blocks of literacy for newly arrived and preliterate students.
